What is Tiny Text?

The Generate Tiny Text tool transforms standard sized text into miniature versions using special Unicode characters. While they look like a "font size change", they are actually different characters entirely (from the Phonetic Extensions block), which means you can paste them into plain-text areas where real formatting isn't allowed.

For example, Hello World becomes ʜᴇʟʟᴏ ᴡᴏʀʟᴅ (Small Caps).

Frequently Asked Questions

How does tiny text work?

It uses specific Unicode characters from the 'Phonetic Extensions' and 'Superscripts and Subscripts' blocks. While they look like a small font size of normal letters, they are actually entirely different characters that computers treat as symbols. This is why they work in plain-text fields like Instagram bios.

What styles are available?

We provide three main styles: (1) Small Caps (ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛʜɪs) - often used for formal titles. (2) Superscript (ˡᶦᵏᵉ ᵗʰᶦˢ) - tiny letters raised above the line. (3) Subscript (like ₜₕᵢₛ) - tiny letters below the baseline.

Why are some subscript letters missing?

The Unicode standard does not have a complete set of subscript characters for the Latin alphabet. Letters like 'q', 'b', 'c', 'd', 'f', 'g', 'w', 'y', 'z' often don't have perfect official subscript equivalents. We use the best available matches or fallback characters, so some may look slightly different.

Can I use this on social media?

Yes! Because they are standard Unicode characters, they work on Instagram bios, Twitter (X) posts, Facebook updates, Discord messages, and YouTube comments. They are perfect for making your profile stand out.

Is this tool free?

Yes, it is 100% free and unlimited. You can convert as much text as you want without any restrictions or watermarks.

Does it work with numbers and symbols?

Superscript and Subscript fully support numbers (⁰¹² / ₀₁₂). Small Caps generally converts lowercase letters to small uppercase ones, so numbers and punctuation usually remain unchanged.

What is Batch Mode?

Batch Mode allows you to process multiple lines of text independently. This is useful if you have a list of names or phrases (e.g., for a database or multiple profiles) and want to convert them all at once while preserving line breaks.

Can I download the results?

Yes! With our new file I/O features, you can convert text and click the download icon to save your tiny text as a .txt file.

Are these fonts accessible?

No. Screen readers often cannot read these phonetic characters correctly. They might skip them or read them as strange descriptions (e.g., 'mathematical bold small h'). Use these for decorative purposes only, not for important information.

Can I upload a file to convert?

Yes, you can upload .txt or .md files directly. The tool will convert the entire content into your chosen tiny text styles.
