Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use the Memory (M+, M-, MR, MC) keys?
Memory keys let you store numbers for later use. M+ adds the current number to memory. M- subtracts it. MR (Memory Recall) brings the stored number back to the screen. MC (Memory Clear) resets the memory to zero.
Does this calculator have a history feature?
Yes! Our History Tracking feature automatically records every calculation you make in the sidebar. You can click on any past result to load it back into the main display for further calculations.
Can I use my keyboard?
Absolutely. You can type numbers, use + - * / for operations, Enter for equals, and Backspace to delete. You can also use Esc to clear everything (AC).
Is the history saved if I refresh?
Currently, the history is temporary and clears when you refresh the page or close the tab. We designed it this way to prioritize privacy and speed for quick, one-off sessions.
Why do I see 'Error' on the screen?
This usually happens if you try to divide by zero or enter an invalid mathematical expression. Press the AC (All Clear) button to reset the calculator and try again.
Can I copy the result?
Yes, you can simply highlight the number in the display and press Ctrl+C (or Command+C on Mac) to copy it. We are also adding a dedicated 'Copy' button in the next update.
Does it work offline?
Yes! Once this page loads, the calculator code runs entirely in your browser. You can disconnect your internet and continue crunching numbers without interruption.
